Labor Day weekend is right around the corner--and it’s not too late to plan your three-day getaway. Try something new with your family and take them to visit a North American ski resort town for an exciting end-of-summer vacation to celebrate the holiday weekend (That’s right - ski resorts are no longer just for skiing!).

Many resorts around the country are pulling out all the stops this Labor Day weekend and providing loads of entertainment that you don’t want to miss. Keep the kids and your wallet happy and visit one of the following ski resorts for one last hurrah before summer is officially over.

Park City, UT

From traditions to parades to competitions plus much more, Park City is the place to be this Labor Day weekend! Join in on the fun in celebration of Park City’s mining heritage with a day packed full of fun adventures for the whole family including a pancake breakfast, games, barbeque, live music, kids’ races, and the annual Miner’s Day Parade through historic Main Street.



The highlight of the day is the world famous Running of the Balls, a charity fundraising event, where you can “adopt” a ball that is released at the top of Main Street. The Wild West Air Fest features a vintage and warbird static aircraft display, an aerobatic show, classic cars, radio controlled airplane shows, kids activities, and much more!

Check out Lake Tahoe this Labor Day weekend for food, fun, festivals, and fireworks. Your kids will love the South Lake Tahoe Community Fair with rides including a featuring a 40-foot ferris wheel.
