Halloween Is Almost Here: Time For Some Fun Arts and Crafts!

Are you tired of searching the endlessly picked-over aisles at the store for Halloween decorations? Are you also maybe looking for a way to burn through your kids’ endless sugar high this holiday? What better way to temporarily stop the sugar and avoid store crowds than to make homemade Halloween decorations this weekend! This devilishly easy craft project only takes a handful of household items and is a sure fire way to keep those goblins of yours occupied.

Materials:

•   Clean plastic gallon milk jugs

•   Black permanent marker

•   Craft knife

•   String of 50 clear low-wattage holiday lights

Instructions:

•   Draw ghost eyes and mouths on the jugs. Tip: Leave the caps on while you do this, so the jugs don't dent.

•   Use the craft knife to cut a half-dollar-size hole in the back of each jug (a parent's job).

Arrange the ghosts near each other and string the lights between them, stuffing several bulbs into each of the jugs.

There you have it; something spooky that will not only impress the neighbors, but free up some space in your recycling as well. Who said green wasn’t a fall color? For more fun crafts and project this Halloween, check out http://familyfun.go.com/halloween/.
