Fall Styles for Back-to-School

Fall Styles for Back-to-School

Posted by WinterKids on Wednesday, August 24, 2016

The first day of school has come and gone for most school districts. If it hasn't, it will be here soon for the lucky ones that have a later start. Which means school shopping is most likely all done. Sure, maybe you were one folder short or forgot to grab that box of Kleenex, but overall, the bulk should be done. This includes a favorite part for kids, clothes shopping. They’re all set with the coolest duds to express their style and personality. It’s still warm enough to wear those new dresses, shorts and sandals, but the temperatures will be cooling off soon and the need for warmer school clothes will creep up on us. Maybe you didn’t think to add fleeces to the back to school shopping list, but it’s never too late! Here are some of our favorite looks for this season.

Patagonia Lightweight Synchilla Snap-T Pullover

The founder of Patagonia, Yvon Choinard, was part of the original collaboration that created the beginnings of fleece in the 80’s. So, you might say Patagonia knows a thing or two about fleece. Patagonia continues to lead the innovation race with characteristics such as their Synchilla fabric, partly made from recycled plastic bottles. This fleece is great for outdoors, but it is also comfortable and light enough to wear indoors. The name itself, Synchilla, describes how comfortable they’ve made it. It’s a mash-up of the words synthetic and chinchilla. The Synchilla Snap-T Pullover can also be used as a mid-layer on those frigid days adventuring in the mountains. It has moisture wicking abilities to help keep your kids dry and warm so they can enjoy the snow. WinterKids has great color and pattern options available for the Synchilla Snap-T Pullover for girls, boys and infants.

Columbia Boys Steens II Fleece Hoodie

This fleece is perfect for an epic recess break. It is full zip, which makes it easy to take on and off. It’s made of durable, soft polyester so his journey home at the end of the day won’t be cold and wet from the grand snowball fight that occurred at lunch recess. The hood provides added protection from chilly conditions and wind, not to mention provides an ultra cool look on the playground. The warm hand pockets have zippers to help prevent losing small keepsakes. The Columbia Boys Steen II Fleece Hoodie is a great option for school or weekend activities before he needs his winter coat.

The North Face Girls Oso Hoodie

The Oso Hoodie is the perfect combo of style and comfort. This extremely soft high-pile fleece hoodie is just right for fall weather. It’s perfect for the morning bus ride or a field trip. The full zippered front makes it easier to regulate temperature when running around at recess. The hood is fixed for an improved guard against cold wind or to help hold her hair back for ultimate playground competition. With the 7 color options available, look no further than the Oso Hoodie for a flawless go-to layer.

With these different styles and the numerous color options, surely even the pickiest child can find something they’ll want to wear.
