Fall Styles for Back-to-School

The first day of school has come and gone for most school districts. If it hasn’t, it will be here soon for the lucky ones that have a later start. Which means school shopping is most likely all done. Sure, maybe you were one folder short or forgot to grab that box of Kleenex, but overall, the bulk should be done. This includes a favorite part for kids, clothes shopping. They’re all set with the coolest duds to express their style and personality. It’s still warm enough to wear those new dresses, shorts and sandals, but the temperatures will be cooling off soon and the need for warmer school clothes will creep up on us. Maybe you didn’t think to add fleeces to the back to school shopping list, but it’s never too late! Here are some of our favorite looks for this season.

Patagonia Lightweight Synchilla Snap-T Pullover

The founder of Patagonia, Yvon Choinard, was part of the original collaboration that created the beginnings of fleece in the 80’s. So, you might say Patagonia knows a thing or two about fleece. Patagonia continues to lead the innovation race with characteristics such as their Synchilla fabric, partly made from recycled plastic bottles. This fleece is great for outdoors, but it is also comfortable and light enough to wear indoors. The name itself, Synchilla, describes how comfortable they’ve made it. It’s a mash-up of the words synthetic and chinchilla. The Synchilla Snap-T Pullover can also be used as a mid-layer on those frigid days adventuring in the mountains. It has moisture wicking abilities to help keep your kids dry and warm so they can enjoy the snow. WinterKids has great color and pattern options available for the Synchilla Snap-T Pullover for girls, boys and infants.

The hood provides added protection from chilly conditions and wind, not to mention provides an ultra cool look on the playground. The warm hand pockets have zippers to help prevent losing small keepsakes. The Columbia Boys Steen II Fleece Hoodie is a great option for school or weekend activities before he needs his winter coat.

Bailey

Bailey was born and raised in a small Colorado mountain town called Crested Butte. This is where her love for the outdoors started. She has now found herself in Denver, CO where the mountains aren't too far away. When she's not hiking, camping or skiing in the mountains she enjoys volunteering, going to sporting events (Go Broncos and Avs!) and making friends with any animal she comes across.
